NoHo West is a long-awaited retail and entertainment destination currently under construction in the heart of North Hollywood. This all-new Community Plaza will bring the brands and experiences you love close to home and will offer a place to celebrate local artistry and color, slated for a grand opening date in the spring of 2020.
The architecture and landscaping at NoHo West provide a mix of eclectic LA style allowing you to enjoy everything from your morning coffee to business lunches and date nights or family get-togethers.
Regal Cinemas theater, 24 Hour Fitness and Old Navy will be among the major anchor tenants moving into the former Laurel Plaza shopping center site as part of the NoHo West project under construction, the developer said this past Monday.
Merlone Geier Partners, the developer, has been heard to have been in talks with Trader Joe’s about opening one of their stores at the mixed-use shopping center, located on the corner of Laurel Canyon Boulevard and Oxnard Street.
The NoHo West project is said to provide 190,000 square feet of commercial space, including a gym, a supermarket, and a multiplex cinema. An eight-story, 2,600-car parking structure is located along the western property line, buffering the project from the adjacent 170 Freeway.
At the heart of the property, a former Macy’s department store, is being transformed into a four-story, 500,000-square-foot office building. The retail and office buildings are being designed by STIR Architecture.
The second phase of the project, would rise on what are now dirt lots along the eastern property line. Plans call for an array of three-to-six-story buildings featuring 742 apartments and basement parking!
